0538 Tubby the Tuba
Published by admin September 21st, 2008 in Especially for ChildrenPaul Tripp’s timeless musical tale about a hapless little tuba who wants his own melody but was assigned to limit himself forever to “oompah, oompah.” Scorned as clumsy and overweight by the other instruments, he wanders off to the riverbank and meets a helpful bullfrog who teaches him a melody. He then returns to the rest of the orchestra and delights them with his new tune. Tubby has inspired countless books, toys, records and two animated films, including the 1947 George Pal Puppetoon.
