Tex Ritter starred in more than 70 low-budget Westerns and recorded the Academy Award winning theme to the 1952 film, High Noon, a song which became a hit several times over. The Country Music Hall of Fame honored Ritter in 1964 as its fifth inductee. Tex’s youngest son, John, played the role of Jack Tripper on the popular TV sitcom Three’s Company.
